This is an animated infographic that I created with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. I have create a fake new battlepass options for the game Rainbow six siege (Ubisoft). The objective was to promote the new battlepass. The process was not really hard but mostly time consumming. I have learned a lot on after effects and it is really fun for me because I love doing animations. What I wish I did in the begining of the project was to have more text layers on Illustrator before chaging to a svg. I would of made zoom in on the "new features", fade in, fade out,etc.. but because all the text were in the same layer, I had to do something different. I am currently working on a bigger project that I am really excited to showcase soon.
Motion Graphics Project
Project Plan
The idea of my project is to make an original hopecore video. A hopecore video is a video with big text and a main speaker with videos attacheds to inspire, motivate and give hope to their viewers. I will be mainly using after effects and some small inspirationals clips from YT. My goal is to leanr as much as possible from ae because motion graphics/edits is my new passion.
I am really happy how it turned out. It was super fun while making this edit. The main feedback I received was the placement of my words because it was hard to see. There as some challenges on the way like trying to make it unique and finding videos online but after this project, I think I love making videos like this or just edits in general. This grew a new passion inside of me.
TouchDesigner Exercises
Exercise #1 : Stars (tutorial by Pao Olea)
Exercise #2 : Fluffy Material (tutorial by Pao Olea)
My project idea is to add a song to my "Fluffy Material" exersice to make it audio reactive. The goal is to make the "Fluffy material" scale from normal size to a bigger size while following the music beat. I will also make it move from left to right [like bouncing] and try to make the transition as smooth as possible.
My classmates proposed me the idea to maybe use a microphone to make it audio reactive. They also proposed me the idea to maybe have the fluffy ball changes color every couple secs. Overall, they like my my fluffy material, they think it looks really cool.
The Challenges I face during my project is the low FPS after combining 2 tutorials. It was extremely slow and laggy which demotivated me a lot. After trying to use a microphone to use real voice to make it audio reactive, I face difficulties trying to figure some stuff.
End Result and Thoughts
Overall, I wasn't really satisfied with my project. There was too many challenges along the way that demotivate me. I still tried my best to do the best possible of my project for the due date but it will not be on my portfolio lol. I realise after this project that TouchDesigner is not for me, but it is an incredible software with ton of potential. But Who knows, maybe in the future I might get back into it.
